Can I wear my earrings during sports?Updated 11 days ago
For most sports, you can cover your new earrings with a band-aid or tape to protect them. However, check with your team or league, as rules can vary. If you need to remove your earrings, we strongly recommend that you put them back in immediately and follow your aftercare instructions. Never force the stud back into your ear.
It's important not to remove your new earrings during the initial healing period — 3 weeks for lobes and 8 weeks for cartilage. If you remove your earrings during this time, you risk the piercing closing, which may require a repiercing. We recommend keeping earrings in 24/7 for the first year to ensure proper healing and avoid complications.
If you're looking for a safe alternative for sports, check out Rowan Sports Studs! These hypoallergenic silicone studs with soft backs are designed for use during physical activities without disrupting the healing process.
