My new piercing is bleeding.Updated a month ago
Some bleeding is normal, especially if the piercing is bumped, the earring is removed, or it's being turned. A piercing is technically a wound that needs gentle care and time to heal.
The full healing process can take up to a year, so you might notice minor drainage during earring changes or manipulation. Keep the area clean to prevent irritation—use a cotton swab (check for leftover fibers!) to gently remove dried drainage, and apply a warm compress daily to help with any discomfort.
