My new piercing is swollen or embedded into my ear.Updated a month ago
While we pierce as safely as possible at Rowan, each body heals differently, and from time to time, that healing process doesn't go as expected.
A small amount of swelling is normal, but if the ear is swelling so much that the earring is sinking into the ear, remove the earring and do not put in a new one. If you can't remove the earring on your own, please reach out and schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider as soon as possible, as the earring may be embedded and require removal and medical treatment.
