Rowan offers two safe piercing options: a hand-pressured device or a hollow needle. Your best choice may depend on age, piercing placement, earring preference, or budget!The device uses a Rowan Piercing Nurse&apos;s hand pressure (and complete control) to safely guide, place, and pierce. This instrument contains a single-use, sterile cartridge with sterile starter stud earrings that pierce the ear. This is the only option for children under 5 years old.&#xA0;Our hand-pressured instrument allows gentle, direct control with every piercing and does not rely on spring-loaded mechanisms that pierce forcefully.We also offer piercings with a hollow needle. Hollow needles are the only piercing option for parts of the ear other than the outer perimeter. Needle piercings are available for ages 5 and up, at the discretion of a Rowan Piercing Nurse.
